I am a creative researcher and a design thinker, working at the intersection of learning space design, social entrepreneurship and design activism. I have focused my practice on exploring the convergence of arts, technology and new narratives for peace building.
My training is in business, marketing communications, and design studies. In 2016, I graduated with distinction from the MA applied imagination in the creative industries program at Central St. Martins - UAL London.
My work aims to promote the well-being of people living in vulnerable contexts, and has ranged from designing non-formal learning spaces to host open art thinking workshops for children at borders and refugee camps (in East Africa and the Middle East), to the creation and implementation of design and future thinking workshops for university students across Mexico.
I lead Oaxaca's Imagination Centre - a creative innovation lab and an open school of design and future thinking for #artivists who want to explore inner and outer dimensions of change, committed to develop and activate creative responses for peace building.
Since 2020, I collaborate with Cocina Colaboratorio (www.collaboratorykitchen.com), in Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, Oaxaca, where I have been in charge of the creative coordination of the project, mediating dialogues and gatherings between the community, local authorities, creatives, researchers and academics, with whom I have explored change around the local food system.
